We need your support in fulfilling our mission of ensuring that the legal profession and the judiciary is truly representative of the historically marginalised. Your contributions go towards the following:-
Scholarships for students who cannot afford to live in another city for physical internships; and who need additional funds apart from their internship stipend. We find that students who do physical internships learn much more than those who do virtual ones, and try our best to ensure that our students are in a position to avail these opportunities.
Miscellaneous aid for students. We help needy students with subscriptions to legal research tools, internet subscriptions, hostel and admission fees, to access laptops and other devices, etc.
Fellowships for our fellows. At the moment we are functioning with just one working fellow, who is responsible for managing all of our operations, coordinating with students and the panel, and assists in preparation of resources, among numerous other tasks. All three trustees have full time jobs, and are dependent on the creativity and hard work of the CEDE fellow to be able to keep CEDE running and to provide opportunities to students across the country.
Operational costs towards running an NGO. Though our NGO operates remotely, there are various operational expenses that we incur. These include registration costs, website upkeep, video-conferencing tools, accounting costs, logistical expenses, etc.
The Trustees do not receive any monetary remuneration whatsoever from the trust funds.
